Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 6 August 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at medvexis.co.za (the "Website"), operated by Medvexis (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2026/294024/07) ("Medvexis", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Website, including opening the live demo or contacting us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
These Terms apply only to the public marketing Website. Use of the actual Medvexis clinical platform (app.medvexis.co.za) by registered practices, staff, and patients is governed by separate agreements, including a Master SaaS Agreement, Patient Portal Terms, and related documents provided at sign-up.
2. About Medvexis
Medvexis is a clinical practice management and electronic health record (EHR) platform built for South African private medical practices. The Website provides general information about Medvexis, allows visitors to open a live demo of the platform, links to practice registration, and allows visitors to contact us.
3. Not medical advice
Nothing on this Website constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Website is an informational and marketing resource about our software product. Any clinical decisions remain solely the responsibility of the treating healthcare practitioner using the Medvexis platform, in accordance with their own professional and regulatory obligations (including those of the Health Professions Council of South Africa, where applicable).
4. The live demo and enquiries
- The live demo is provided for evaluation purposes only. It contains fictional sample data and must not be used to store, enter, or process any real patient information.
- Using the demo or contacting us does not create any contractual relationship between you and Medvexis. A binding relationship only arises once a separate written agreement (such as a Master SaaS Agreement) is concluded, or you complete registration on the Medvexis platform and accept the terms presented there.
- We may withdraw, suspend, or change the demo at any time without notice.
- We may contact you by email in response to your enquiry, or with product updates where you have asked to receive them, in line with our Privacy Policy.
5. Intellectual property
All content on the Website, including the Medvexis name, logo, text, graphics, design, and underlying software, is owned by or licensed to Medvexis and is protected by South African and international intellectual property law. You may view and share Website content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Website content without our prior written consent.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, our systems, or any related accounts;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Website's operation, including via malware, scraping, or automated bots, except as permitted by robots.txt;
- Enter real patient information or any other person's personal information into the live demo; or
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information when contacting us.
7. Third-party links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites (for example, social media). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party website, and linking does not imply our endorsement.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Website is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medvexis disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Information on the Website about product features, pricing, timelines, or availability may change without notice and does not constitute a binding commitment.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Medvexis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, where applicable.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Medvexis harmless against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Website.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Website shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gauteng, South Africa.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
